Rhett Kaines: Depends what part of the catalytic converter is damaged. To replace the entire system can cost thousands of dollars, even for an older vehicle like the one you mentioned. If the catalytic converter is damaged, I can almost guarantee there's other problems with the car. What caused it to fail? How long has the car been running without a properly functioning emission control system?I wouldn't buy it. Also, the 2003 and older Audi's will develop electrical problems at its current age if none exists already. (fading and dead pixels on the instrument cluster is common on the 03 A4s)...Show more
Jorge Detlefs: I think if you can buy a old car you have the capability to buy a new car, If you have the capability to buy a new car I will suggest you to buy a new car. It will be better for you and you can take suggestion from many websites.
