You will have to start wearing it for one hour a day, and then it increases until you have to wear it all day everyday. I took mine out when i was eating, as it is difficult, but if you can manage then great. Dont wear them during sports activities. Always keep your brace clean aswell. For braces you won't be able to chew for a week and you will be in pain for the first few days. Before you have them tightened drink pain meds if your too sensitive for pain. After that, eat lots of cold stuffs like ice cream or cold beverages to numb the pain temporarily and eat soft foods like soups and bread. It's always ok to combine colors for your braces. For retainers:Dont lose them cause it's a pain to get another one fitted. You'll get used to it in about 2 months or 2 weeks depends if you always wear them. They say that you'll just have to wear them for 2 years but actually you have to wear them for as long as you want straight teeth cause your teeth will move wit! hout them. Don't worry about wearing them 24/7, I actually wea! r mine every night only cause it bothers me when I talk and ts only 4 months after they removed my braces.
