Do you keep your eyes open at the dentist?

They are set with a UV light, and the glasses the give out are designed for UV protection. Also, the light they use, which is right above your head, is super bright. So even for a cleaning, the shades are a courtesy. But I close my eyes anyway; bad dental anxiety. I need sedatives just for cleanings.
